We are recruiting for two Group Board Member roles that will also sit on one of our Committees £9,000 (review pending).

Thirteen Group is more than just rented homes, we also build new properties for outright sale including affordable options to help people get a foot onto the housing ladder. Thirteen has a history of growth. Thirteen in its present form was created in 2017 through the mergers and consolidation of four housing companies and a care organisation to create a strong social purpose housing association. In July 2021, we acquired 1,400 properties from another housing provider, and today we own over 36,000 properties with over 1,600 colleagues providing services for 100,000 customers. Most of our homes are in our Tees Valley heartland, but we’re actively expanding our presence throughout the North East, Yorkshire and the Humber region, with a growing development programme to meet housing needs.

We continue to be committed to our main purpose –being a great housing association and landlord – and once again, customers have recently told us that’s what we’re living up to, with 91% saying their rent provides value for money.

Following our recent regulatory inspection, we have received the highest possible Regulatory Judgement of C1/G1/V1. This is a significant achievement and a true reflection of the hard work from everyone at Thirteen, including the invaluable contributions of our Board and Committee members.  

The People

2 x Group Board Members and membership of a Committee 

We are seeking two individuals to serve on our Group Board with additional roles on one of our committees.

We are interested in individuals with skills and experience in asset management and property compliance or change, transformation and technology potentially with a background in customer service.

We are also looking to improve the diversity of the board. We particularly welcome applications from younger people to join our board from all socio-economic backgrounds.

You will be fully committed to embracing and promoting the values of Thirteen Group while leveraging your strategic focus to contribute to the development and implementation of our plans.

We would prefer, if possible, for applicants to have a connection to the North East or an understanding of the communities we serve.
